Our Support
Solutions. Made Simple.

Support

We are proud to support a number of clients with retained development contracts. These agreements give our clients access to our experienced team and the wealth of knowledge they hold on all aspects of the technology at hand. For a fixed monthly fee you too could secure guaranteed availability for all your development and support needs. To tailor our service we will define our response times and service levels to suit your exact requirements, as well as giving you a sensible amount of bundled development time to save you unexpected monthly charges.

Ecommerce Support

If you’re having problems with your shop, just get in touch. Below are just some of the problems we’ve fixed over the phone in the last few months:

  • Products not showing in the shop?
  • Images not importing correctly?
  • Categories not showing?
  • Shop running slowly?
  • Pretty URLs not working?
  • Locked out of the admin pages?

If we’re able to fix your problem in a few minutes great, all we ask in return is that you tell all your friends where to find excellent support!

If you have multiple problems, or we’re not able to resolve the issue quickly over the phone, you’ll be asked if you’d like to continue with our billable support. We charge from £55/hour for support contracts, billed in half hour blocks, and we’ll pre-agree your spending limit before undertaking any support work so you’re always in control.

Case Study: Pants2You.co.uk

To get plenty of hands-on experience we created and ran our own in-house project a fashion retailer called Pants2You. Supplying the UK with luxury brand men’s underwear from around the world, Pants2You demonstrated that you don’t need a huge budget and months of planning to launch a successful online retail presence.Built using the Magento shopping cart system, pants2you.co.uk was developed and ready to trade within three weeks. The custom design was based on a freely available theme and no outside development was required, meaning there were no costs involved in producing this site beyond development time.

We ran P2Y for three years and sold around £30K of underwear before deciding that we had learnt enough and it was distracting us from the real tech work, our main focus at SteamDesk.
